Soccer Mom

Well, I’m getting a crash course in being a soccer mom. Literally.

My boyfriend & I signed his son up for indoor soccer. We took him to his first “game” this last Saturday. We showed up & there was no coach. The director over all of the teams came up & explained that they couldn’t find a coach and wanted to know if any of the parents wanted to coach. Both Rob and I looked at each other and we both had this look of “we don’t know SQUAT about soccer, so no.” Sadly, no other parents volunteered, so Rob and I volunteered.

Oh boy!!! Rob and I know NOTHING about soccer. Well…we know that the goalie can use their hands but nobody else can. But…that’s about it. Lol.

Plus…have you ever tried to coach a bunch of 9 year olds playing soccer? It’s rather comical actually. No matter what you tell them, they’re going to do their own thing. There were times where the ball would be all the way down at the end of the field where we could make a goal, and ¾ of our team is still up guarding our goal. Lol.

This ought to be interesting. Lol.
