It’s Time for a Break

It’s time for a break. I need to take a break from social media. Social media has influenced my life TOO much.

I’ve been struggling a lot lately with my bi-polar depression and anxiety, along with whatever is wrong with my leg (Dr appointment tomorrow). Social media isn’t helping anything.

I have found that I rely on my Twitter, Facebook and DailyMile websites for acceptance from the world. Growing up, I was never the popular kid. I was always made fun of. I’ve never had a lot of friends. I find that through these websites I’m seeking acceptance and approval from people. Overall, I am not a happy person. I use these websites to try and find happiness in my life. That is not the purpose of these websites.

With all of that being said, I need to take a break from Facebook, Twitter, and DailyMile to find myself and find what makes me happy. I need to find acceptance within myself and I need to find happiness within myself before I can return to social media. I’m not sure if I’ll even update my blog. I need to just focus on me right now.

With all of this being said, if you would like to keep in contact, please find me on Facebook or Twitter, send me a message with your email and I’ll be happy to keep in contact that way.

  1. Hope time away helps you relax and get the space that you need. Technology can hinder our “me” time and stepping back can be a good thing. I hope you get to a happy place soon. Sending positive vibes your way!

  2. I totally know how that goes. Facebook for some reason, has increased my level of insecurity for sometime. Taking breaks from it here and there I think are VERY therapeutic.

    1. I actually downloaded Facebook on my phone again today & then not more than 2 minutes later, I took it off. I just don’t think I’m ready to go back to Facebook yet.
